Why do we advertise?
The principles that guide cooperatives encompass the essential qualities that make our business model effective, including Education, Training and Information. We use many avenues to provide information to you; advertising is one of them.
We advertise to let you know about the annual meeting and other co-op events. We seek to raise awareness and increase participation in community programs like Operation Round Up®, and we remind you to be safe around electricity.
We’re a trusted resource when it comes to saving energy and money. We often advertise the programs that can help you do that. Minnesota’s Conservation Improvement Program sets goals for participation in those programs. Reports are filed annually with the Department of Commerce on how much energy was saved and how much was spent on programs. Communication, through advertising, helps us meet those goals.
We’re fortunate to have great opportunities to share our messages through local media, helping us remain visible and accessible to you. Maintaining our identity as your source for safe, reliable electricity and a partner in our communities is important. Advertising is a tool that helps us connect with you.
