Wholesale power costs may impact PCA in 2017

The power cost adjustment (PCA) may increase slightly beginning in January 2017. If the increase is necessary, members will see it on bills due in February.

The PCA closes the gap between the co-op’s current rates and the actual cost of wholesale power provided by Great River Energy (GRE). GRE’s wholesale power cost to ECE will increase slightly in 2017.

The ECE Board of Directors will review the 2017 budget and will determine if increasing the PCA is necessary to keep the cooperative financially strong and uphold our commitment to safely provide
reliable service.
