Protecting the integrity and financial stability of ECE
We work every day to keep the cooperative financially strong on behalf of all members, while upholding our commitment to safely provide reliable electricity.
Our rates are structured to collect what we need when we need it to meet our financial obligations and to reliably serve our widespread demographic area. Our residential rate is comparable with the national average price of 13.1* cents per kilowatt hour, and the cost of basic service charge is in the mid-range for co-ops that purchase power from Great River Energy, our wholesale power supplier.
ECE staff and the board of directors are reviewing the results of an independent cost-of-service study. This analysis will help us verify what it costs to serve each member class, whether residential or commercial, and guide us in protecting the integrity and financial stability of your cooperative.
