Exciting Youth Adventure
The Youth Tour is a whirlwind
week of touring, talking, learning and laughter, and
three local high school students will experience it
all as guests of ECE.
The all-expense-paid tour helps students understand
American government and its role in the history of
rural electric cooperatives. Students visit the
Capitol and meet with their elected officials, tour
the national monuments and museums and get to know
other teens from around the country.
Juniors and seniors whose parents or guardians are
ECE members may apply. The application process
includes writing an essay on an ECE program which
demonstrates the co-op's commitment to community and
explaining why the program is important. The essays
will be judged and finalists chosen. The finalists
will be interviewed in Braham, and the top three
students will each receive the trip to Washington,
D.C.
To request an application packet, call

must be completed and returned to ECE by March 10.
