Before You Begin
Always be sure to follow the 10-foot circle of
safety. Keep everything you are handling (including
your equipment) at least 10 feet away from power
lines.
Not only is this an important safety rule, it is an
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
regulation and it is a law. Violation can result in
a fine. If you cannot get your work done without
getting within 10-feet of a power line, immediately
contact us.
- Examine your work
site and look for lines that may be blocked by
trees or buildings.
- Make sure everyone in
your crew knows about all the lines.
- Designate a crew
member as a spotter to maximize your visibility.
