National Vision Inc. of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota appreciates East Central Energy's (ECE's) energy-saving ideas and opportunities. "Our ECE representative keeps me posted on rate changes, different energy incentives and power-saving programs. I like the whole co-op concept because there is more ongoing communication about potential opportunities to save energy. With ECE, we know the options so we can take advantage of them when the time and circumstances are right," says Jim Rueter, director of manufacturing.

National Vision is looking around for a possible relocation site in the future. "ECE is very good about keeping us posted on the St. Cloud Business Park development. Our ECE business representative keeps me updated and communicates the benefits of relocating to this site. If we relocate, we will definitely work with ECE from the start to make sure we're as energy smart as possible," adds Jim.

National Vision hopes to remain within their current zone if they relocate. "I am a real advocate of staying within this zone for two reasons: one is because most of our employees live nearby and the other is because of our relationship with ECE . Even though we aren't able to implement any major energy-saving options at this location, we do make sure every light fixture we replace is an energy-efficient choice."

National Vision is a manufacturer and retailer of eye glasses with 517 stores across the country and Mexico. They perform eye exams and fit customers for contacts and lenses. Their three optical labs in the U.S. manufacture more than two million pairs of glasses a year.
