Supporting Smarter Generations

Each year East Central Energy (ECE) awards several scholarships to college-bound high school seniors. The scholarships are funded through unclaimed capital credits. Anyone who would like to be considered for a 2010 scholarship please contact your high school guidance counselor.

Also, ECE members' who fit into one of these three categories are eligible for At Large scholarships:

1. non-traditional students (defined as students already in college or those returning to college after hiatus or sabbatical);
2. seasonal ECE members who have high school seniors starting college in the fall;
3. ECE members' who have high school seniors enrolled in private education institutions located in the ECE service area.

Qualifications for both scholarship programs are that students or their parents or guardians must be members of ECE. Selection is based on academic achievement and community service. If all else is equal, financial need will be the determining factor.

Due date for "At Large" scholarships is April 30, 2010.
