The
beginningBill
Saver met Penny Wise at the local Laundromat. Her
clothes were dry, she had five minutes left on her
machine, and she didn’t want to waste them.
As Bill quickly tossed
his wet clothes into her dryer, he thought, “Now
that’s a girl I can relate to,” and one year later,
Penny Wise became Penny Saver.
Settling in to a modest
split level on the outskirts of Any Town, USA, the
Saver family expanded. Babies meant more baths and
laundry and lights ablaze at all times of night. The
house had to be warmer, the humidity right. Living
up to the Saver name became more challenging. Hoping
he’d take after them, Bill and Penny named their
firstborn Max.
Minnie came along a few
years later, a tiny complement to her inquisitive
brother. Her parents agonized over a suitable name
for their littlest Saver. Realizing that even small
savings can make a big difference, Minnie was the
perfect choice.
The local electric
cooperative met the Savers when they signed up for
the
Storage Water Heating program. The
Communications department could see that the
possibilities were endless, and the rest is history.
Now you can follow the adventures of the Savers as
they learn to save to the max with the help of East
Central Energy.
Saver Tip of the Week: Repair leaky water faucets. Thirty drops of water
a minute can waste as much as 50 gallons a month.
