Meter and Pole testing in progress

Contracted meter and pole testers will be doing work in the ECE service area.

Meter testing will be completed by Chapman Metering of Avoca, IA. Meter testing involves physically removing the meter from the socket and taking it to a specially-equipped vehicle for testing. Your electric service may be interrupted for approximately five to 10 minutes.

Pole testing will be conducted by Osmose Utilites Services for the next several months. Their tests monitor the integrity of the poles and provide ECE with the data it needs to schedule pole replacement and maintenance.

Both contractors use a variety of vehicles, such as vans, trucks and ATVs, to complete their work. All contractors working for us carry ECE contractor ID badges.
