Each year, we sponsor a bus tour to Coal Creek Station, located about 50 miles north of Bismarck, North Dakota, near Underwood. This is one of the world's largest and cleanest lignite coal-fired power plants and it's where we buy most of our power. Coal Creek Station uses about 22,000 tons of lignite per day. The highlight of this three-day trip is the tour of Coal Creek Station and Falkirk Mine - supplier of the lignite coal.
The 2019 Coal Creek Tour is September 16-18.
Cost for the tour is $260 per couple, $190 single.
Tour package includes:
-
Two-night accommodations
