ECE employees and members participate in Project GreenTouch
ECE employees and volunteers from local communities
devoted two recent Saturdays to completing important
projects at two state parks.
Project GreenTouch at Father
Hennepin State Park in Isle, held Saturday, May 7,
kept 31 people busy. The big project there was
reframing and resurfacing around the park’s 11 water
spigots to make them handicapped accessible. Several
bluebird houses were assembled, raking was done
around the picnic shelter, and bags were filled with
trash and debris from the beach area.
At Pattison Park in Superior,
WI, the wet, windy weather of Saturday, May 14
didn’t stop 11 dedicated volunteers from cleaning up
the beach, painting picnic tables and piling wood.
ECE’s annual sponsor of Project
GreenTouch demonstrates our commitment to community
and our mission of enhancing the quality of life in
the area we serve.
