East Central Energy earns high marks for member satisfaction
Survey results place ECE among industry leaders

BRAHAM, Minn. - Member survey results show East Central Energy (ECE) continues to improve overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.

On the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), ECE scored 83 out of a possible 100 points. That's up from a score of 80 last year, exceeding both the Touchstone Energy cooperatives' national average of 81 and the electric industry average of 72. The ACSI is the most widely used index of customer satisfaction.

"Members own this cooperative and we work for them," says John Heino, ECE vice president, business and community relations. "We're always trying to improve. Every department will review detailed survey results to see where we can do a better job.

" Researchers from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association contacted a random sample of ECE residential members by phone in September. ECE commissions this survey each year to learn more about member needs and changing priorities.

East Central Energy www.eastcentralenergy.com is a member-owned electric cooperative serving more than 53,000 homes, farms and businesses in east central Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. ECE also provides Internet and long distance services.
