Moving is a very busy time - so we make it easy to start, stop and transfer your ECE service right here.

Start New Service
Just fill out a new application online and mail it in with the required documentation.

Stop Service
To cancel an ECE service, fill out our online cancellation form. We will verify all cancellation requests by phone before we disconnect your service.

One Month Before Moving

• Fill out change of address order form for post office and IRS.
• Finalize details with moving company or reserve a truck.
• Get medical and dental records, x-rays and prescription histories. Ask your doctor and dentist for referrals and transfer prescriptions.
• Set up a checking account in your new city or town.
• Take inventory of your belongings before they're packed, in case you'd need to file an insurance claim later. It's a great idea to take a video tape and record serial numbers of electronic equipment.
• Clean your fridge out by using up food that'll spoil.

One To Two Weeks Before Moving

• Notify ECE of any service changes.
• Notify other services like garbage, water, newspaper, magazine subscriptions, cable companies.
• Close bank accounts and have funds wired to your new bank.
• Service appliances for moving, defrost freezer.
• Clear out any safe deposit boxes.
• Check with your insurance agent to make sure you have coverage during the move through your homeowner's or renter's policy.

On Moving Day

• Double check closets, drawers, shelves, attic and garage to be sure they are empty.
• Carry important documents, money and jewelry yourself, or use registered mail.
• Carry travelers checks instead of cash for quick, available funds.
• Take a deep breath, you'll be all moved in soon.
