Premier service and quality of life
For the past 70 years East Central Energy has been focused on providing premier electric service to its customers and helping improve the overall quality of life in the communities it serves. Our emphasis is on reliably and efficiently bringing electricity to homes, farms and businesses to ease work burdens and add comfort and enjoyment to daily living. This focus will become even more intensified as we address challenges related to the accelerated increase in our cost of doing business and the demand for electricity expected to outgrow existing generation and transmission capabilities.
At the co-op, we understand that our member-owners face similar challenges in their own households. One way ECE is helping alleviate some of this difficulty is to offer reduced rates to customers willing to control water heating, space heating, air conditioning and/or irrigation energy use to avoid the most expensive high demand times of each day. Another way we try to help customers reduce energy bills is by providing information on how members can use energy wisely.
This column is intended to provide answers to energy-related questions your might have and to generally keep you informed about the critical issues facing your cooperative. The best way for me to identify what's important to you is to have you tell me. I invite you to write, call or email me with your questions and/or suggestions for topics in the future.
